You can help prevent suicide and save lives! Make a donation!
This last year-and-a-half has certainly been challenging, as we all try our best to adjust to this new normal, a reality that persists. The CDC reports tremendous increases in anxiety, depression and, of course, isolation, which is a leading risk factor for suicide.
At the heart of Samaritans philosophy is the belief that “if you are afraid of the dark, it’s better to be sitting holding someone’s hand than sitting alone.” Sometimes you just need someone to talk to. Someone you can trust, who listens and does not judge you.
Samaritans does not have major celebrities supporting our work, no star athletes, no flashy marketing campaigns. We work quietly, behind the scenes, dedicating our time and resources to serving people in need. When you donate to Samaritans you know where your money goes.
So as you consider your charitable giving this holiday season, we hope you will include Samaritans. All donations are tax-deductible.
