The Samaritans Wellness Line and the 24-hour Crisis Hotline are both essential services designed to offer support to individuals in need, yet they cater to different situations and offer distinct forms of assistance.

  • Preventive Support: Aimed at preventing crises by offering scheduled support for managing stress, loneliness, or anxiety.
  • Non-Anonymous Scheduled Calls: Requires scheduling, so it’s not anonymous but maintains confidentiality.
  • Immediate Crisis Support: Provides instant help for those in acute distress or crisis, available 24/7.
  • Anonymous: Allows for complete anonymity, ensuring privacy for those in need.

In essence, the Wellness Line is early, scheduled support to prevent crises, while the Crisis Hotline offers immediate, anonymous help in crisis situations.
